Operator
The term operator refers to a ge-
neric member of staff capable of
carrying out simple operations in-
volving operating the machine and
cleaning at the end of the shift.
Electrical/mechanical mainte-
nance technician
A technician who is trained to
operate the machine to perform
repairs or to replace parts that re-
quire the protective casing to be
removed.
Operator position
While using the machine, the op-
erator stands behind it with their
hands on the handle.
Protective clothing
- Use protective clothing as
specified by the rules in force
in the country in which the ma-
chine is used.
General warnings before use
- Before using the machine,
check that the fixed safety de-
vices (casing) are always se-
cured in position correctly.
General warnings while using
the machine
- If the machine makes strange
noises, stop it immediately and
identify the cause.
- While using the machine, avoid
hitting shelves or cabinets.
- It is forbidden to use the ma-
chine outdoors.
- If possible, use the machine
in an environment where no
persons are present. If per-
sons are present, warn them
to move away before using the
machine.
- Do not use the machine in the
presence of corrosive or salty
substances.
- Do not use the machine in ex-
plosive atmospheres (ATEX).
- It is inadvisable to use adapt-
ers, power strips and/or exten-
sion cables.
- If the power cable on this appli-
ance is damaged, it must only
be replaced by a service cen-
tre authorised by the manufac-
turer.
- During machine operation, be
careful to keep the power cable
away from the brush as there
is the risk of the cable winding
itself onto the brush.
