Battery charger description
This automatic battery charger with inverter switching technology
is designed to charge different types of lead battery: flooded lead
acid batteries requiring maintenance or maintenance free (MF),
GEL and AGM batteries.
Respect the instructions provided by the battery
Manufacturer for recharging.

Battery charger connection
 Make sure that the voltage of the battery corresponds to the
battery charger's charging voltage.
 Make sure that the plug is not plugged into the socket.
 Connect the red clamp (+) to the battery's positive pole and
the black clamp (-) to the battery's negative pole.
The "A" LED lights up whenever the clamps have been
connected to the battery with reverse polarity. Invert the
connection.
 Plug the plug into the socket to begin charging.
 In order to interrupt charging, first unplug the plug from the
socket and then disconnect the clamps from the battery.
If the "B" or "C" LED fails to light up after the plug has
been plugged into the socket, this means that no voltage
is reaching the battery charger or that the connection to the
battery is incorrect. Check both the power connection and
the clamps.
If the "B" or "C" LED flash rapidly for prolonged time, this
means that the battery is no longer receiving the charge
(i.e. sulphation has occurred in the plates). If these LEDs
light up in alternation every 10-20 seconds, it means that
battery cannot hold the charge (high self-discharge).
Warnings for batteries in vehicles
 Never connect both battery charger clamps directly to the
poles of the battery. Always connect the first clamp to the
battery and the second clamp to a thick part of the body or
the engine far from the battery, fuel tank cap and fuel line.
In this way, the generation of a spark will not create danger.
Connect the battery charger to the power supply only after
performing the operation above.
 In order to interrupt charging, disconnect the following in
the order below: the plug from the power supply socket, the
clamp connected to the vehicle's body, and then the clamp
connected directly to the battery .
Charging program description
Charging at 14.4 Volt – 0.8 Amp
Suited for batteries with capacity in the range of 1.2 - 35Ah:
e.g. motorcycles.
1.2 - 35 Ah
Charging follows an IUoUp cycle with 3 phases with automatic
switching. Fig. 2
PHASE 1
Charging with the maximum current until the voltage of the
battery is raised above 14.4V ("B" LED lit up). In this phase,
the battery is brought to around 80% of its charge.
PHASE 2
Charging with constant voltage until the current delivered
reaches a value of 0.4A ("B" LED lit up).
Whenever charging lasts longer than 18 hours, the battery
charger shifts to the next phase in order to avoid damaging
defective batteries.
PHASE 3
End of charging and shift to the battery charge level checking
process ("C" LED lit up). After the battery has been charged,
the battery charger checks the battery's voltage, and whenever
voltage falls below 12.8V, the battery charger shifts to Phase 1.
The battery charger cannot begin charging whenever a 12V
battery delivers a voltage of less than 6V (battery extremely
discharged).

Thermal protection

The battery charger is equipped with thermal protection that
gradually reduces the current delivered whenever the internal
temperature becomes too high.
Disposal
Recycle waste packaging, products and accessories in
compliance with environmental rules.
Only for EC countries:
Do not dispose of waste products with domestic waste!
Comply with the provisions of Directive 2002/96/EC on waste
electric and electronic equipment (WEEE) and the national decree
enforcing this directive by collecting waste material separately and
sending it to environment-friendly recycling facilities.
Notice d'utilisation
chargement.
