CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• T he SAINT-CLOUD anal probe should be cleaned and/or disinfected (using cold disinfectant)
and then rinsed BEFORE USING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME and AFTER EVERY USE.
• D O NOT DIP CONNECTOR IN WATER
EQUIPMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
This probe should only be used with equipment conforming to Directive 93/42/CEE with the
following characteristics:
- Two phase, zero net AC
- Maximum intensity: 150 mA
- Maximum output voltage: +/- 80 V
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE IF:
- Wearing a pacemaker(*)
- STD
- Suffering from total denervation
- Suffering from cancer in the rectal area
- Suffering from rectal infection
- Haemorrhoïd
- Pregnant
(*) In case of doubt seek advice from your doctor or medical specialist
CAUTION : Verify the integrity of the probe before each use. In case of damage, do not
use the product.
METHOD OF USE
1 - W ash the probe before using it for the first time (see « Warning »).
2 - L ubricate the probe with lubrificating gel to ease insertion (using a gel designed for this
purpose).
3 - I nsert the probe (disconnected from the equipment) in the anal orifice until the end part of
the probes penetrate the rectal cavity and that the sphincter close around the probe.
4 - C onnect the two cables to your equipment adaptater.
5 - S tart the stimulator and gradually increase the intensity of the stimulation.
6 - A t the end of the session switch off the equipment and disconnect the probe.
7 - R emove the probe from the rectal area and clean or disinfect it as indicated above under
"Warning".
8 - T he probe should be stored in its original packaging, which should be kept throughout the
period of treatment (the serial number is shown on the packaging).
UTILITY OF THE STRIP AND THE COLLAR
The upholding of the probe is ensure by the use of the strip that will avoid the expulsion from the
anal cavity. This strip is inclinable for comfort of use
The angle between the collar and the strip can go from 70° and 90° and enable a better positioning
of the probe.

ATTENTION
- T he Patient should only be connected to a single stimulator. Do not connect the probe simul-
taneously to high frequency surgical equipment.
- M aximum setting 150 mA (voltage +/- 80V from peak to peak at 500Ω).
- N ever insert or remove the probe while stimulator is operating.
