The Tread 1 is designed and manufactured to function
and retain its beauty and character, however care
should be taken to protect your watch from extenuating
circumstances. Avoid shocks, whether physical, thermal
or other. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures
(greater than 60°C/140°F, less than 0°C/32°F) or acute
temperature changes.

The Tread 1 is manufactured from many different
materials and each material has its own characteristics
and differing effects from contact with chemicals.
While one material may withstand the effects of many
chemicals, others may not have the same resistance.
The lens on the Devon Tread 1 watch is manufactured
from hard-coated polycarbonate. While polycarbonate
is an extremely strong material it is prone to surface
scratches. The polycarbonate lens in the Tread 1
is coated with an abrasion-resistant hard coating.
By adding this coating the surface of our crystal
becomes much harder to resist scratching.
