TECHNICAL DATA (D)
Hearing protector Class 5 tested to AS/NZS 1270:2002. When selected, used and maintained as specified in AS/
NZS 1269.3:2005, this protector may be used in noise up to 110 dB(A) assuming an 85 dB(A) criterion. A lower
criterion may require a higher protector class.

(D:2) Sound exposure when using the auxilary input
1. Level under the ear-muff [dB(A)]
2. Input voltage [mVrms]
A. External volume normal, mode 1
B. External volume normal, mode 2
C. External volume normal, mode 3
D. External volume high, mode 1
E. External volume high, mode 2
F. External volume high, mode 3
G. Power off (failsafe mode)
(D:3) Criterion level
The criterion level is the noise (mesured as A-weighted sound pressure level) outside the hearing protector that
gives 85 dB(A) inside. The outside level depends on the type of noise: H is high – frequency dominated noise, M is
noise that is not dominated by any given frequency and L is low – frequency dominated noise.
FITTING/ADJUSTMENT(E)
Adjusting the helmet attachment
(E:1) Snap the helmet attachment into the slot on the helmet. To switch the unit from ventilation to working position,
press the headband wires inwards until you hear a click on both sides. Ensure that the shell and the headband wires
in working mode do not bump or snag on anything so that noise leakage can occur.
Note: The shells can be set in three positions: (C:2) working position, (E:3) ventilation position and (E:4) parking
position.
Adjusting the neckband
(E:5) Adjust the shells so the ears are completely surrounded by the ear cushions.
(E:6) Adjust the height using the headband until you have a snug, comfortable fit.
(E:7) The headband should lie across the top of the head.
