With a hexagonal key fasten the hub to the threaded shaft using the screw
"R" (fig. 5A, 5B). Fastening torque 30Nm.
ADJUSTING THE OPENING/CLOSING TRAVEL LIMITS
Once you have decided on the installation position (fig. 5) adjust the
mechanical stops "T" and "U" (fig. 6) of the lever "S" with the bar in a
vertical position 90° and in a horizontal position 0°.
MANUAL RELEASE MECHANISM (fig. 9)
Releasing the boom should only be carried out when the motor has
stopped because of blackouts.
The boom can be released externally by turning the handle "O - Det. 1"
or from the inside, after having removed the front panel, acting directly on
the lever "V". See instructions "Opening the access door".
Attention! The boom is not balanced and must be held during
manual release
To release/block the boom using the external handle "Dett. 1"
Rotate the key cover, insert the key and free the release mechanism.
Rotate the handle clockwise through 90° and hold it that position until you
have moved the boom manually to the desired position (completely open
or completely closed). The boom position will be blocked by rotating the
handle back to the starting position.
To release the boom using the internal lever "Dett. 2"
After having removed the front panel press the lever "V" until it reaches
the released position (B) where it will remain thanks to an anti return
mechanism.
To lock the boom using the internal lever "Dett. 2"
Slightly force the lever "V" from the release position (B) to overcome the
anti return mechanism. The return to the blocked position (A) is carried
out automatically by a spring. The cogs within the geared motor may not
necessarily slot together straight away. They can however easily be locked
together by moving the boom slightly.

POSITIONING THE UNIT

The appliance is factory assem-
bled for an installation to the
right of the passageway. For
installations to the left of the pas-
sageway invert the motor power
supply cables (pos. "CN3") and
the travel limit cables (pos. "10"
and "11") while the travel limit
neutral wire remains in the same
position.
FITTING THE CORD TO THE ACCESS DOOR (fig.10)
To make sure the access door doesn't accidentally fall after it has been
opened you have to wire a piece of cord (supplied with the appliance)
between the cabinet and the door. To assemble it proceed as follows:
- first of all assemble the cord as shown in figure "10A" and "10B" with
the two identical grips "W" and "X" which can be loosened or tightened
using the self-tapping 3,5x13 screw pos. "Z";
- fasten the end "W" to the barrier cabinet e.g. to the right-hand upright
as indicated by the arrow in the drawing;
- then fasten the other end "X" to the rib structure of the access door.
CUTTING THE BOOM
If the installation requires the boom to be shortened; make sure cut the
end which is not going to be inserted into the boom holder.
WARNING LIGHTS
The strip of movement indicator leds is located inside the barrier on the
upper part of the access door (fig.8, pos.K).

ELECTRONIC PROGRAMMER

Electronic control unit for two dc motor with an incorporated encoder and
radio receiver card, which allows the memorisation of 300 user codes. The
"rolling code" type decoder uses 433.92 MHz series transmitters S449. The
motor rotation speed is electronically controlled, starting slowly and increas-
ing in speed; the speed is reduced as it nears the travel limit so as to enable
a controlled smooth stop.
Programming is carried out using the buttons P1, P2, P3, and allows you
to set the system, the current sensor and the entire boom travel distance.
The logic carries out position control using an encoder. The intervention of
the anticrush/antidrag sensor during the closing and opening stages causes
travel direction inversion for a few centimetres.
IMPORTANT REMARKS
Attention! There is no 230 Vac contact on any part of the electronic
card: only low voltage safety current is available. In conformity with the
electrical safety standards it is forbidden to connect binding posts 9
and 10 directly to a circuit that receives power greater than 30 Vac/dc.
Warning! For the correct operation of the programmer if the optional
batteries are installed they must be in good condition: the program-
mer will lose the position of the boom in case of blackouts when the
batteries are flat the alarm will sound.
Check the good working order of the batteries every six months (see
page 19 "Battery check").
• After having installed the device, and before powering up the program-
mer, release the boom (manual release mechanism) and move it manually,
checking that it moves smoothly and has no unusual points of resistance.
• The controlled load output (binding post 15) is aimed at reducing battery
power consumption (if installed) during blackouts; photocells and other
safety devices should be connected to this output.
• When a command is received, via radio or via wire, the electronic program-
mer routes voltage to the CTRL 24 Vdc output. It then evaluates the state
of the safety devices and if they are at rest it will activate the motor.
• Connecting devices to the controlled output contact also allows you to
carry out the autotest function (enabled using "TEST FI" and "TEST FS" in
the "OPTIONS" menu) and check that the safety devices are functioning
correctly.
• The presence of the electrical current sensor does not dispense with the
obligation to install photoelectric cells and other safety devices foreseen by
the safety standards in force.
• Before connecting the appliance make sure that the voltage and frequency
rated on the data plate conform to those of the mains supply.
• For the 230 Vac power supply only use a polychloroprene 2 x 1.5 mm
cable that conforms to the international standard 60245 IEC 57.
• The cable may only be replaced by qualified technicians.
• An all pole trip switch with at least 3 mm between the contacts must be
installed between the unit and the mains supply.
• Don't use cables with aluminium conductors; don't solder the ends of cables
which are to be inserted into the binding posts; use cables marked T min
85°C and resistant to atmospheric agents.
• The terminal wires must be positioned in such a way that both the wire and
the insulating sheath are tightly fastened (a plastic jubilee clip is sufficient).
POWER SUPPLY CONNECTION
• Connect the control and security device wires.
• Run the 230 Vac mains power supply to the separate
two-way terminal board that is already connected to
the transformer.
Motor - encoder and terminal board connections
• You must scrupulously respect the motor connection sequence between the
motors and the programmer. The order of the binding post connections 1 to 6 is
identical on both;
- connect the wires of motor, the encoder
and the release mechanism to the main
board of the electronic programmer using
the terminal block;
- connect the prewired terminal "LOG" to
the motor terminal block "MOT".
