all units used in the water. Compare the electrical values of the power supply with those on the type plate on the packing
or on the unit itself.Ensure that the unit is fused for a rated residual current of max. 30 mA via a residual current-operating
system. Only operate the unit when plugged into a correctly fitted socket. Keep the power plug and all connection points
dry! Protect the connection cable when burying to avoid damage. Only use cables, equipment, adapters, extension or
connection cables with an earthed contact and approved for outside use. Do not carry or pull the unit by the connection
cable! Never operate the unit if the cable or housing are defective!
Damaged cables should only be repaired by a qualified electrician! Electrical installations at garden ponds must meet the
international and national regulations valid for installers. Never open the unit housing or its attendant components, unless
this is explicitly mentioned in the operating instructions. Never carry out technical changes to the unit. Only use original
spare parts and accessories. Only allow authorised customer service outlets to perform repairs. Never run the unit without
water! Never use the pump for fluids other than water! For your own safety, consult a qualified electrician when you have
questions or encounter problems!

Electrical connection

Only entrust an authorised expert to carry out the electrical connection in accordance with the German EVU and VDE.
VDE 0100 Part 702 is valid for all installations. Refer to the type plate for all capacity parameters. Only perform any work on
the unit when isolated!

Installation

The unit can be set up either submerged (A) or dry (B).
General preparatory work: Bolt on the suction unit (3) and fit the pressure socket (2). Connect the desired hose for the
water feature to the pressure socket. Adapt stepped hose connectors to the water supply and return in accordance with
the hose diameter (C). Remove the pump foot, if necessary. For this purpose, press the pump foot to the rear, as
illustrated (D).
Submerged installation (A)
Operation with the pre-filter fitted. Push the pre-filter over the suction unit and fasten the filter using the bayonet closure.
Place the unit in the water at the desired position. Ensure that the unit is fully submerged. Maximum installation depth:
4 metres.
Dry installation (B)
Bolt the suction unit (B3) on and turn the priming opening to an optimum position for priming and connecting the suction
hose. Connect the suction hose to the suction unit. Always position the unit below the water line to prevent dry running
and the intake of air when switching on and operating the unit. Risk of damage!
Never connect the unit to a water line.
Switching on, starting up
It is important to adhere to the safety instructions.
Attention! Never operate the unit without water or without pump filter!
The unit switches on automatically when connected to power. Height and shape of the fountain depends on the nozzle
used. The power supply must be disconnected to switch off the unit.
Series 3000/4000: The pump will shut down after 10 attempts if the rotor is blocked or runs dry. Disconnect the power
plug! Remove the obstacle or „flood the pump". Following this, the unit can be restarted.
Maintenance and cleaning
Attention! Always disconnect the power supply prior to starting cleaning and maintenance work!
For cleaning, take the unit out of the water and clean the pre-filter and the suction unit.
Storage/Over-wintering
The unit is of frost-proof design and may stay in the water over the winter. Should you choose to take the unit out of the
water, then store it in a water filled container (E). Do not immerse the plug!
Disposal
Dispose of the unit in accordance with the national legal regulations.
Malfunctions
Never open the housing! Only allow a qualified electrician to replace the power cable!
