Menu Operations

This unit allows you to set the requirements for
decoding or to view various information, such as
packet IDs, by using menus displayed on a monitor
connected via the COMPOSITE 2 (SUPER) connector.
In Menu mode you can select the Main menu or
Monitor menu. The Main menu displays a listing of
submenus.
When an optional BDKP-D1003 or BDKP-D1004
Descrambler Board is installed, the Descrambler
Control menu can also be selected.
For menu operations, the MENU button, ENTER
button, and cursor keys are used.
Cursor keys
To Enter Menu Mode
Press the MENU button.
The decoder enters Menu mode, and the Main menu
appears on the screen of the monitor.
Note
When the decoder is in Menu mode, "d1SP" is
displayed on the AUDIO indicators, and the audio
channels cannot be changed. If necessary, change the
channels before setting the decoder to Menu mode.

Main Menu

When you press the MENU button in normal operating
mode, the decoder enters Menu mode, and the Main
menu appears on the screen of the monitor.

Select the desired submenu from the Main menu.
To select a submenu

Press the ↓ key to move the cursor to the desired
submenu line. (To reverse the cursor's movement,
press the ↑ key.)

Press the ENTER button.
The selected submenu appears.
There are submenus for parameter setting, for display
only, and for both setting and display.
For setting parameters and display items of the submenus,
see the subsequent pages.
To set the parameters

Press the ↓ key to move the cursor to the desired
parameter line. (To reverse the cursor's movement,
press the ↑ key.)
Notes
• You may not select a line that is for display only.
The cursor skips such a line.
• When you press the ↓ key with the cursor at the
bottom line, it returns to the top line.
If a submenu consists of multiple pages, the display
scrolls to the next page if you press the ↓ key with the
cursor at the bottom line.
