Rear Panel

Note
When touching the rear panel in power-on status, wear
a grounding band for anti-electrostatic measures.
1 REF. VIDEO connectors (BNC type) and
75-ohm termination switch
Connect a composite video signal, such as black burst.
The two connectors are in the loop-through condition.
When the loop-through output is not used, set the 75-
ohm termination switch to ON.
When a reference video signal is supplied, the output
video and audio signals operate in synchronization
with it.
2 BIT STREAM INPUT connectors
Accept bit streams.
IF connector (BNC type): For a QPSK input
DVB-ASI/SDDI connector (BNC type):
For serial bit stream input.
Depending on the internal input selection, bit
stream input of either DVB serial (conforming to
DVB-ASI standards) or SDDI can be accepted.
PARALLEL connector (D-sub 25-pin):
For DVB parallel bit stream input.
3 SPARE connector (BNC type)
For service use.
4 CONTROL connectors
To connect a computer for system control.
10BASE-T connector (RJ-45 modular jack,
conforming to Ethernet IEEE802.3):
For remote control. Connect to the Ethernet
connector of the computer.
RS-232C 1 connector (D-sub 9-pin, conforming to
RS-232C standards, male):
For remote control. Connect to the RS-232C
connector of the computer.
AUX (auxiliary) connector
Used for servicing and maintenance. Not for
normal use.
5 ISR connector (D-sub 9-pin, conforming to RS-
232C standards, female)
Can be used for ISR by internal setting.
Connect to the RS-232C connector of the computer.

(D-sub 9-pin):
6 DATA OUT connector
Used for servicing and maintenance. Not for normal
use.
7 SDI VIDEO OUTPUT (serial digital video
output) connectors (BNC type)
For outputting a serial digital video signal.
The same signal is output from connector 1 and 2.
You can exclusively select either D1 or D2 output
using the DIP switches on the DAC board. Note that
the embedded audio (digital) of D2 has a delay of
approx. 600 µs with respect to the AES audio (analog).
8 ANALOG VIDEO OUTPUT connectors (BNC
type)
For outputting analog video signals.
COMPOSITE connectors: Output a composite
video signal. In normal operating mode, two
connectors output the same signal.
When this unit enters Menu mode, the menu
display is superimposed on the output from the
2 (SUPER) connector.
COMPONENT connectors: Output Y, R–Y, and
B–Y component signals, respectively.
9 DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT connectors (BNC
type)
For outputting serial digital audio signals of AES/EBU
format.
!º ANALOG AUDIO OUTPUT connectors (XLR
3-pin)
For outputting analog audio signals.
Each outputs the signal of the corresponding channel.
!¡ MONITOR connectors (XLR 3-pin)
Audio signals of the channels selected using the
MONITOR SELECT buttons on the front panel.
!™ y (signal ground) terminal
For signal ground. Connect if required.
!£ AC IN connector
Connect an AC power source using the optional AC
power cord.
