Phantom z! feiern Dabe f og e ne F 4D der 89. Taktischen
Jagdstatfe der 906. Jagergruppe mit besonderer Kenn
zeichnung uber die Zuschauer.

The F 4 Phantom ll, the work horse of the fighter nventories
of the countries of the free world, appeared n five different
versions, a total of 5,1 95 aircraft of which were produced
The F-4C, the united States Alr Force's verson of the
Na4/'s F-48, is equipped wth the J79GE-15 engne,
whrch may be started with ignition cartridges, and with
wider t res in order to allow t to operate from ground a r,
stnps. The F-4D iS an upgraded vers on improvlng on the
ground attack capabilities ofthe aircraft. During the London
International Air Show held in London, Ontario from June 3
- 5, 1 988, 26 F-4 aircratt were gathered ln ce ebration of the
30tfr anniversry of-the Phantom's maiden flight. The cele-
bration featured an F-4D of the Bgth Tacticat Fighter Squa-
dron of the 9o6th Tactical Flghter Group wlth special mar
krfgs.
Le F-4 Phantom Il, tous moddles compris, a efd produit d
5,195 exemplaires en tant que chasseur prifcipai des for-
ces de I'Ouest. Le F-4 C etant le moddle F,4B de la marine
de guere modrfie pour les besoins de 'arm6e de l'air, i1 a
ete equip€ d'un r6acteur J79 GE 1 5 permettant un depart
ai l'aide d'un magasin e poudre ains que de pneus larges
pour pouvoir utiliser une p ste d'envol. En outre, le moddle
F 4D est une modiication du modee C en vue d'ameltorer
ses facultes d'attaque contre des post ons ernemies au
sol. Du 3 au 5 juin 1 9BB, durant le "London International Air
Show" qui se d6roula dans la rille de London dans I'Etat de
'Ontario au Canada, 26 chasseurs F 4 furent assembl6s
pour commemorer le 30eme anniversaire du vol Inaugural
du premier Phantom. Parmi eux, les F-4 de la 906 TFG/B9
TFS se firent remarquer avec leurs embl6mes sp6ciaux.
