Checking Tightness of V-Belt (Every 500 Hours)
– The V-belt is tightened correctly if the sag (when pressed by hand) in the middle of its section between the charging generator pulley and the crankshaft pulley is 13 mm.

Checking Fastening of Units (Every 500 Hours)
– Checking of fastening of unit bolts (with the strength of 8.8) (vibration dampers) to the base plate is performed with the engine stopped. If necessary, the bolts are tightened with the torque correspon-
ding to their diameter.

Cooling Liquid Heater
– For each Type of electric power generator unit there is envisaged a cooling liquid heater, Type 1 or Type 2.
14.1 Cooling Liquid Heater Type 1 (Accessory)
On the engine block. and a circulation pump which are secured on the frame of the electric power generator unit.
– The heater is supplied from the power supply enterprise through the AC socket connector for 230 V / 16 A with grounding. The consumed power is about 3000 W.
– For overheating protection the cooling system circuit has a thermostat with the 50 °C setting, which switches off electric power supply of the heating element when the specified temperature is reached.
When the temperature goes down to somewhat below 50 °C, the heater is turned on again. The engine is always ready for operation.
– The circulation pump is turned on when the switch is in the «II» position.
– The MHZ 3000 control unit (only with heaters, Type 1) indicates the heater operating mode:
The heater is on (green indicator):
The engine is running (yellow indicator):
Fault (red indicator):
The engine stops, the heater and the circulation pump operate.
The engine is running, the heating system is off.
The heating system is not operating because the temperature of the cooling liquid is over 70 °C.
