13.2.3 Cleaning and Replacement of Air Filter
Turn the dust collector in the direction of the arrow and empty it. Sometimes cleaning of the discharge opening
is required. The body of the dust collector may be slightly deformed in order to remove the dirt from its walls.
Unscrew the air filter cover fastening nut. Remove the cover and take out the cartridge with the filter element.
The filter element is to be replaced every half-year or after 1000 hours of operation.
Filter element cleaning.
– Blow the filter with compressed air from inside to the outside (maximum air pressure 5 bar), or
– Tap dirt from the filter element (in case of dire emergency). Be careful not to damage the filter, or
– Wash the filter element in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturing plant.
The paper filter element is checked for absence of rupture by illumination and for absence of damage of the
seals.
The filter element may in no case be cleaned with gasoline or other flammable liquids!
