Connecting the pressure hose
The pressure hose, included with delivery, is designed for a maxi-
mum pressure of 40 bar. It is 2 m long and easily be laid to connect
to the oxygen bottle or another oxygen inlet with pressure redu-
cing valve (smallest permissible bending radius 80 mm).
There is an R1/4inch threading
(SW 17) on the C 29 reducing
valve (accessory) of the oxygen
bottle to which the other end of
the pressure hose can be con-
nected.
An appropriate adapter is inclu-
ded for US pressure reducers.
The required filling pressure -usually 30 bar- can be set on the
pressure reducer valve of the oxygen bottle. The adjusted pressure
can also be read on the pressure gauge (11).
The bulb compl. (2) integrated into the oxygen filling station pre-
vents oxygen from flowing out when this is not intended.
When the task is complete. the main valve on the oxygen
supply should be closed.
The device is maintenance-free. However it is subject to natural
wear and tear on parts and their statistical failure rate.
Unplug from the mains before cleaning.
Only clean the IKA device using these IKA approved cleaning
agents:
Dye, coloring
Isopropanol
Construction materials Water containing detergent
Cosmetics
Water containing detergent/isopropanol
Foodstuffs
Water containing detergent Combustible
materials
Water containing detergent
Wear protective gloves when cleaning the devices.
Do not place electrical appliances into the cleaning agents for
cleaning purposes.
Ensure no liquid enters the device during cleaning.
Please consult with IKA before using any cleaning or decon-
tamination methods not specifically recommended.
It should be expected that frequent use will result in wear on the
O rings in the bulb compl. (2). The filling head (3) is screwed in
place and can be unscrewed after the pressure hose is removed.
The lower gasket (3007), which is subjet to particularly high wear

Decomposition vessels
The IKA decomposition vessel C 5010 is provided with an identifi-
cation on the base or on the cap screw that contains information
including the year of manufacturing number.
The decomposition vessel should be placed on the marked posi-
tion.
All you need to do then to fill up the decomposition vessel is to
swing the rocking arm downwards. The increase in pressure (ca. 2
bar) can be observed on the pressure gauge.
The filling time should not be less than 30 seconds.
and tear, can be reached without disassembling the pressure hose.
Pull with a suitable tool (tweezers) the gasket (3007) down. Put
the new gasket into the recess of the decomposition vessel. Place
the decomposition vessel under the filling head (3) and fill you the
decomposition vessel. The gasket remains at the bulb compl. (2)
back.
Ordering spare parts
When ordering spare parts, please make sure to indicate the fol-
lowing:
Device type
Device manufacturing number; see rating plate
Reference number and description of spare part; see spare
part diagram and list at www.ika.de.
Repairs
Please only send devices in for repair that have been
cleaned and are free of materials which might present
health hazards.
For this, use the "certificate of compliance" form which you
can obtain from IKA or can download a version for printing from
the IKA website www.ika.de
If your appliance requires repair, return it in its original packaging.
Storage packaging is not sufficient. also use appropriate transport
packaging.
