Astro time shift

The integrated astronomical calendar is
designed for the centre of the CET time
zone. To adapt the astro function to
your longitudinal location, individually
and to the minute, you can use the
astro time shift to correct the
astrological times calculated by the
blind time switch, by ± 1:59 hrs. (see
„Setting the astro time shift" , p. 49).
Astro function - application
examples
Example 1:
The blind should be raised every day at
sunrise:
– Switching time 1: Mon – Sun (Mo-
So) 4:00 a.m. raise ▲, astro
function on
and lowered at sunset:
– Switching time 2: Mon – Sun (Mo-
So) 10:00 p.m. lower ▼, astro
function on
Example 2:
The blind should be raised for the
morning at sunrise, but no earlier than
6:30 a.m.:
– Switching time 1: Mon – Sun (Mo-
So) 6:30 a.m. raise ▲, astro
function on
and in the evening should be lowered at
7:10 p.m. at the latest, or at sunset,
when this is earlier than 7:10 p.m.:
– Switching time 2: Mon – Sun (Mo-
So) 7:10 lower ▼, astro function on
Astro time shift
When it is still dark outside at 6:30
a.m., the astro function intervenes, and
the blind is only raised at the current
time of sunrise. If it is already dark
before 7:10 p.m., the astro function
causes the blind to be lowered earlier,
at the actual time of sunset.
However, when the actual time of
sunrise is before 6:30 a.m., the astro
function does not intervene, and the
blind is raised at 6:30 a.m.. If it is still
light out at 7:10 p.m., the astro function
does not intervene, and the blind is
raised at 7:10 p.m..
Example 3:
The blind should be raised in the
morning at exactly 6:30 a.m.:
– Switching time 1: Mon – Sun (Mo-
So) 6:30 a.m. raise ▲, astro
function off
and lowered in the evening at sunset:
– Switching time 2: Mon – Sun (Mo-
So) 10:00 p.m. lower ▼, astro
function on

Note: If you only want to use the
astro function to control the
blind, you must be sure to set
the switching time for a time in
which it is guaranteed to be dark
outside.
