Twilight function

Twilight function
Only on blind time switch with sensor
connection, when used together with
sun/twilight sensor 580691.
You can use the twilight function of the
blind time switch after attaching the
sun/twilight sensor to the window
pane. Attach the sensor to the glass
and set your required twilight value
(see „Setting the sun protection and
twilight functions" , p. 50).

Note: The twilight function is
only activated when a program
memory [A], [B] or [C] is in use
(see „Activating program
memories" , p. 40). Additionally, a
lowering time with astro
function must be saved for every
day for which the twilight
function is to be used (e.g. Mon
– Sun (Mo-So) 9:00 p.m. lower
▼, astro function on).
When you have switched on the
twilight function (a moon symbol
appears in the display), it will be
activated automatically before the
calculated time of sunset (see „Astro
function" , p. 34). The blind time switch
then constantly compares the
brightness value measured by the
sensor with the set twilight value.

When the brightness value falls
beneath the set twilight value, the
moon symbol in the display starts to
flash. The blind is lowered when the
measured value has remained below
the set twilight value for approx. 4 min.
This delay prevents the blind being
lowered by merely temporary
variations in brightness (e.g. caused by
shadows or clouds).
The blind is not raised by means of the
twilight function, only manually, or
using a set switching time.
It is useful to use the twilight function
when, for example, where the sensor
is located, building work causes it to
seem to go dark earlier than would be
normally calculated by the astro
function.

Wind alarm

Only for blind time switches with
sensor connection, together with blind
control insert with extension input
580699.
To protect blind slats or awnings from
damage caused by strong winds, you
can connect a wind sensor (wind
sensor interface 580693 with wind
sensor 580692/580690) at the
extension input (580699) of the blind
control insert (see the blind control
insert and wind sensor interface
manuals).
