3. Start-up

Inspect the device and the cables for visible
damage. The device's housing must not
exhibit any cracks or other types of damage.
The insulation of the cables and the battery
charger pliers must be intact. The device
must be charged before every use.

4. Operation

Charging the assisted start device
The device can be charged before use in
several different ways.
Charging using a 12 V battery
(e.g. in the donor vehicle)
Connect the device to the battery and switch
it on. Observe the order of connection when
doing so (always connect the positive pole
first).
The charging
180 seconds.
Charging using a 12 V/10 A cigarette lighter
socket (e.g. in the donor vehicle)
Connect the device to the cigarette lighter
socket in the donor vehicle using the
supplied cigarette lighter connection cable
and switch the ignition on if required. The
charging process may last up to 6 minutes.
Charging using a USB socket (5 V/2 A)
Connect the device to a USB socket using
a commercially available Micro USB cable
(USB cable not included in scope of supply).
The charging process may last up to
60 minutes.

NOTE
In the worst-case scenario (if no
donor vehicle or other power source
are present), the device can also be
charged using the discharged vehicle
battery. However, the battery must
still have a residual voltage of over 3
V. The charging duration then depends
on the battery state.
If the vehicle's own battery has discharged
to such an extent that the capacitors in the
assisted start device can no longer be fully
charged, the LED control lamp lights
"FAULT" up in red. In this case, an external
power supply must be used for charging the
device.

4.1 Standard starting mode

In a normal starting process, the vehicle
battery remains connected to the vehicle
electrical system.
