eliminate such
trouble,
it
is
preferrab le
to have the
ca lcu lator
memorize
the
proce-
dure for the
ca lculation so
that
only the
number (variable
=
radius)
is
e
ntered
.
This
is the advantage of programmed calculation.
To
prepare a
program, it is
sufficient to arrange the operations according to
sequence of the manual
calculation
but please note
the fol lowing 2
points.
1. Seperate
var iables
from constants in formula
to
be
ca lcu lated.
The
radiu
s varies
according to the size
of
the
circle and is
therefore,
the
variable.
The number
whi
ch is
common (constant) to
the
c ircles of all sizes, such as t
he
number
7T,
is
a
constant. At the place where variables will be
entered,
give
"H"
(HALT) order.
Where
a
constant
is
to be
entered
(or used),
the
number itself
is
the program order.
2. At the
end of
program, give END order.

Constant numbers:
The
number designated by
entry
key operation
is
stored
in
the
program memory
as
a
constant
number
.
Variable number: Before this number is entered
the
~
key is pressed to store the
halt instruction. I n this
case
,
the
HALT
order
is stored, but
entry
numbers are not
stored.

3) Programming in the last step
After programming in the 64th step, the execution mode of the program is auto-
matically designated without the
~
~
key operation. Consequently, the key
operation for next step is not
stored
in the program memory.
4) Execution of program
The execution of the program is started by
~
key operation and automaticaily
stops at
all
HALT instructions, END instruction, or by the
execution
of the last step.
