WARNING
DO NOT USE PUMP for fuel, solvent, oil, or
anything flammable. When pumping corrosive
liquid, use extreme caution. Follow handling
instructions provided by manufacturer of the liquid.
Always wear adequate protective clothing.
Keep hands and body clear from discharge of
pump. Secure discharge hose to avoid whip
ping. Never place hands or body parts inside of
running pump or hoses.
Anchor pump to avoid walking" or equipment
movement, especially if located near ditch or
edge of open ravine, the equipment could fall in.
Keep equipment away from edge of river or lake
where it could cause the edge to collapse.
Never allow vehicles to drive over hoses. If a
hose must be positioned across a roadway, use
planking on each side of hose to allow vehicles
to pass over without obstructing or collapsing
hose.
Keep all connections air tight. Use a non col
lapsible hose on the suction side of pump. Do
not obstruct the inlet or discharge hose in
anyway. Damage to the pump may occur.
Ensure all connections on suction side of pump
are air tight.
NEVER OPERATE PUMP without strainer
connected to end of suction hose.
ALWAYS prime pump before starting the
engine. Never run pump with out priming.
CAUTION: Damage to the pump or equip
ment may occur if hoses are obstructed in
anyway.

8 m (25 ft) maximum.
For better performance, keep suction lift at a minimum.
CAUTION: Do not exceed suction lift. If
suction lift is beyond maximum, pump may
overheat before liquid reaches casing. This
condition may cause damage to the seal. Use
shortest suction lift possible.
Prime pump before every use. Remove plug
and fill cavity with water only.

acceptable oil at all temperatures. Use of
synthetic oil does not alter required oil
change intervals.
Use recommended SAE viscosity grade oil per starting
temperature according to chart. (see fig.

engines. The use of non synthetic multi viscosity
oils (5W 30, 10W 30, etc.)in temperatures above
40° F (4° C) will result in higher than normal oil
consumption. When using a multi viscosity oil,
check oil level more frequently.
** SAE 30 oil, if used below 40° F (4° C), will result
in hard starting and possible engine bore
damage due to inadequate lubrication.
Check oil level. (see fig.

Fuel Recommendations

Use clean, fresh, lead free gasoline with a minimum of
85 octane. Leaded gasoline may be used if it is
commercially available and if unleaded is unavailable.
This engine is certified to operate on gasoline. Exhaust
