cake decorating shops or craft stores sell many cupcake
picks or premade sugar decorations that are fun, colorful,
easy and perfect for a variety of themes.
fondant & marZiPan
roll packaged, prepared fondant or marzipan on a board
lightly coated with cornstarch. cut fondant or marzipan
into rounds to cover the cupcakes or be creative and cut a
variety of shapes using small cookie cutters, for example
the shape of a flower. Or frost cupcakes pink or blue and
cut fondant in the shape of tiny feet or baby bottles and
arrange on top of cupcakes for a baby shower.
cut fondant with small alphabet cutters to decorate with
initials, names or holiday greetings.
convenient mixes
always follow the directions on the package when using
a ready-to-use product. the cooking time however will
be shorter when using the cupcake maker instead of your
oven.
muffin mixes:
prepare muffin mixes according to directions on the
package. Spoon into cups and bake 4 to 6 minutes.
cake mixes:
prepare the cake mix according to the directions on the
package. fill each cooking reservoir with 2 tablespoons
of batter. Bake the cupcakes about ca. 5 to 6 minutes
or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out
clean.
toast cups:
trim the crusts from white bread and flatten each slice
with a rolling pin. cut into circles using the large bottom
crust side pie crust cutter. Shape each bread circle into
a cooking reservoir. Brush with melted butter if desired.
Bake until crisp and golden brown, about 7 minutes.
remove the cups and let them cool. fill as desired. as an
appetizer, toast cups are great filled with chicken or tuna
salad, hot, cooked chili or other favorites. for a brunch,
fill them with cooked scrambled eggs.

always unplug the appliance after use. always unplug the
appliance before cleaning. Leave the appliance to cool
down completely. the cupcake maker cools down faster
when you open it.
Wipe the outside of the housing and the cooking plates
with a damp cloth and dry. to remove batter baked onto
the cooking surface, pour a small amount of cooking oil
onto the hardened batter. after 5 minutes, wipe with a
paper towel or dry cloth. never use any abrasives!
never immerse the appliance into water or other
liquids.
