- Before use, ensure that the appliance and its accessories show no vi-
sible signs of damage. In case of doubt, do not use them and contact
your dealer or the customer service address indicated.
- In the event of defects or malfunctions, switch off the appliance immedi-
ately.
- Repairs must be carried out only by the customer service or authorized
dealers.
On no account attempt to repair the appliance yourself!
- Use the appliance only with the accessories supplied.
- Never leave the appliance running unattended.
- Keep the appliance away from children to prevent any possibility of
danger.
- Keep the appliance away from sources of heat.
- Do not use the appliance under blankets, cushions etc.
- The appliance must not be operated continuously for longer than
20 minutes.
After this time, await an interval of at least 15 minutes to prevent the
motor overheating.
- Do not use the appliance when bathing or showering. Do not keep or
place the appliance in locations from where it could fall into a bath or
washbasin.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
- This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
restricted physical, sensory or mental capabilities and/or by persons la-
cking the required understanding of the equipment and how it is used,
unless they are supervised by a person who is responsible for their safe-
ty or they are given instructions on how to use the device.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not use the device
as a toy.
- For reasons of hygiene, the device should only be used on one person.

2. Commencing operation

2.1 Batteries
Included in the items supplied are two 1.5 V AA batteries. The battery
compartment is on the underside of the appliance. Ensure correct polarity
when changing batteries. Used batteries do not belong in domestic waste.
Dispose of these through your electrical dealer or your local recyclable
materials collection point. This is a legal requirement.
