Determinare il senso del campo rotante
In una rete a corrente trifase, l'ordine delle fasi determina il senso di rotazione
del motore allacciato.
La sequenza corretta L1, L2 e L3 produce una rotazione destrorsa:

Tester del senso di rotazione motore
1. Accertarsi che il motore da testare non sia sotto tensione.
2. Collegare i cavetti di prova L1-L2-L3 ai rispettivi morsetti del motore e premere
il pulsante di accensione (5). Il LED verde (6) si illumina. Girare manualmente
l'albero motore in senso orario.
3a. Se si illumina la spia rossa del senso di rotazione (7), dopo l'allacciamento
delle 3 fasi il motore avrà una rotazione oraria.
3b. Se si illumina la spia rossa del senso di rotazione (8), dopo l'allacciamento
delle 3 fasi il motore avrà una rotazione antioraria.
Attenzione! L'osservatore deve trovarsi sul lato dell'albero motore e guardare in
direzione dell'albero. Se l'apparecchio indica una rotazione sinistrorsa nono-
stante l'albero giri in senso orario si devono invertire due contatti e ripetere il test.
Sostituzione della pila: La pila deve essere sostituita quando il LED verde (6) si
illumina debolmente (vano pila sul retro dell'apparecchio).
Sostituzione dei fusibili: Quando le spie di fase (2) non si illuminano più è
necessario sostituire un fusibile o entrambi i fusibili (0.2 A). Allentare le 4 viti sul
retro dell'apparecchio, aprire il corpo, sostituire il fusibile (i fusibili) e riavvitare il
corpo.

Phase Sequence Sensing
In a 3-phase network, the sequence of the three phases determines the rota-
tional direction of the connected motor.
The correct phase sequence of L1, L2, L3 provides clockwise rotation:

Motor Rotational Direction Tester
1. Warning: Before continuing, ensure that the motor to be measured has no
voltage applied!
2. Connect measuring lines L1-L2-L3 to the associated terminals of the motor
and press Switch ON button (5). Green LED (6) lights. View the motor shaft from
the drive side of the motor, and turn the motor drive shaft from that side in the
clockwise direction. There are then two possibilities:
3a. If the red lamp of "Motor CW rotational direction indicator" (7) lights, then the
motor will turn in the clockwise direction when the 3 phases are connected.
3b. If the red lamp of "Motor CCW rotational direction indicator" (8) lights, then
the motor will turn in the counter-clockwise direction when the 3 phases are
connected.
Important: Ensure you turn the shaft from the drive side of the motor. If the tester
then displays a counter-clockwise direction, exchange two phase connections
and repeat the test.
Battery replacement: If the green LED (6) becomes dim, exchange the battery
(the battery compartment is on the rear side of the tester).
Fuse replacement: If phase lamps (2) no longer light, then replace one or both
of the fuses (0.2A) as required. Access the fuses by unscrewing the 4 screws on
the rear of the tester, replace the fuse(s) and then screw back the rear of the
housing.
