Installation must be carried out in accordance with these instructions, and must be conducted

by designated, qualified and competent personnel.
•
The plumbing installation must comply with the requirements of UK Water regulations/Bye-
laws (Scotland), or any particular regulations and practices, specified by the local water
company or water undertakers.
•
This appliance must be earthed. Ensure supplementary bonding complies with the
"Requirements for Electrical Installations". The valve is intended to be permanently connected
to the fixed electrical wiring of the mains system. A means of electrical isolation of the
appliance shall be provided in the fixed wiring, in accordance with local wiring regulations.
•
Mains connections are exposed when the cover is removed.
•
Do not install the valve in any location where the temperature may reach temperatures over
40°C (104°F). The valve and its integrated power supply is rated to operate in temperatures
up to 40°C (104°F).
•
When possible, install the valve prior to installing the interface and install the electrical outlet
prior to installing the valve.
•
For optimum performance, dedicated water supply lines are recommended.
•
If the digital valve will be used for bath/shower applications, the bath fill supply line must be
routed from the number 1 outlet port.
•
Do not apply excessive heat near to the valve, or apply flux or acids directly onto the valve.
The valve contains plastic and rubber components which could melt.
•
Do not apply petroleum-based lubricants to the valve components.
•
Do not use oil-based, non-setting compounds, such as plumbers putty on the threaded
connections.
•
Flush all pipework prior to installing the valve.
•
The water supplies to this product must be isolated if the product is not to be used for a long
period of time. If the product or pipework is at the risk of freezing during this period they
should also be drained of water.
•
DO NOT operate this appliance if it is frozen. Allow the appliance to thaw before using. The
shower must not be fitted where it may be exposed to freezing conditions.
