1.1.1 Warning notices -
Structure and meaning
Warning notices warn of dangers to the user or people
in the vicinity. Warning notices also indicate the con-
sequences of the hazard as well as preventive action.
Warning notices have the following structure:
KEY WORD – Nature and source of hazard!

The key word indicates the likelihood of occurrence and
the severity of the hazard in the event of non-observan-
ce:

User instructions

2.1

Important information

Before commissioning, connecting and operating Bosch
products, it is absolutely essential to read the entire
operating instructions carefully, especially the safety
instructions. By doing so, any uncertainties in handling
Bosch products and associated risks are avoided in the
interests of your own safety and of preventing damage
to the products. If a Bosch product is handed over to
another user, the operating instructions, the safety ins-
tructions and the information on the intended use must
be handed over as well.
2.2

Target group

The product may be used only by skilled and instructed
personnel. Apprentices or personnel undergoing trai-
ning or instruction may use the product only under the
continual supervision of an experienced person.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the product.

Safety instructions

WARNING – Risk of the SCT 410 tipping
over due to the precision measuring bar
being overloaded.

Attach only the approved targets and the
approved laser unit P-Assist S5 to the
precision measuring bar.

Do not attach more than the specified
