3. Press the START/STOP pushbutton. The appliance starts working after the start time delay is over.
Note: Do not use the DELAYED START function when you prepare food that needs stirring, or that swells at the
room temperature.
Servicing/Cleaning
No parts of the appliance can be washed in a dishwasher. Wash the appliance after every use, or before cooking food
when the appliance has not been used for a long time.
1. Prior to cleaning the appliance, always disconnect the power supply cord from the mains outlet.
2. Wash the vessel (16) in warm water with a detergent. Rinse carefully and dry.
3. Clean the appliance outer casing with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid!
4. Remove the condensed water collection vessel, pour out the condensed water, and wash the vessel in warm water
with a detergent. Then, put it back in place.
5. Turn the lid upside down, and carefully remove the rubber sealing ring (6). Wash it in warm soapy water, rinse and
dry. Then, place the sealing ring back on the bottom of the lid. Make sure the groove in the middle of the sealing
ring is engaged with the metal ring of the lid's inner section.
CAUTION: If the lid's sealing ring (6) is not placed properly, the appliance will not function. Prior to any use, make sure
the rubber sealing ring is clean, flexible, and not cracked or rotten.
Pressure control valve cleaning
Before any use of the pressure cooker, make sure the pressure control valve (1) and the safety valve (9) are in order.
1. Once the pressure cooker has cooled, remove the lid from the pressure cooker vessel.
2. Press the pressure control valve (1) and turn it counter-clockwise towards the STEAM position, and then remove it
carefully.
3. Turn the lid and lay it aside. Remove the valve protection grid (8). Clean all dirt preferably with a brush. Put the
valve protection grid (8) back in place.
4. Screw the pressure control valve (1) back on the lid, and turn it counter-clockwise.
REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE
Any extensive maintenance or repair requiring access to the internal parts of the product shall be performed by an
authorized service center.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
• Packaging materials and obsolete appliances should be recycled.
• The transport box may be disposed of as sorted waste.
• Polyethylene (PE) bags shall be handed over for recycling.
Recycling at the end of the service life:

waste. It must be taken to the collection point authorized for recycling electric and electronic equipment. By
making sure this product is disposed of properly, you will help prevent negative effects on the environment
and human health that would otherwise result from inappropriate disposal of this product. You can learn
more about recycling this product from your local authorities, a household waste disposal service, or in the
shop where you purchased this product.
