5. Turn the pressure control valve (1) to the PRESSURE position.
6. By pressing the LOW or HIGH pushbutton on the control panel (17) set the food preparation time. (This time
starts counting down when the working pressure is reached in the pressure cooker.) The indicator light on the
pushbutton flashes, and „ 1" will show on the display (corresponds to 1 minute's cooking).
7. You can set the cooking time by repeatedly pressing the pushbutton, or holding it pressed down for a longer
time. The longest cooking time you can set is 99 minutes.
8. Press the START/STOP pushbutton. The indicator light stops flashing.
9. If you forget to set the cooking time, or to press the START/STOP pushbutton, the appliance beeps twice, and „ 0.0"
shows on the display after 30 seconds.
10. The appliance starts counting down the time in minutes after the corresponding pressure is reached in the vessel.
(The stop valve (7) goes up when the pressure is reached.) The appliance will alert you that cooking has finished
with a triple beep.
11. Once the cooking time is over, let the pressure go down spontaneously (the slower way), or you can reduce it by
opening the pressure control valve (1) towards the STEAM position.
CAUTION: While turning the valve (1), hot steam or liquid may squirt up. Pay attention and beware the safety
risks!
12. To turn the appliance off, press the START/STOP pushbutton and disconnect the power supply cord from the
mains outlet.
CAUTION: Avoid holding the pressure control valve (1) in your hand for a prolonged period of time. Scalding may
occur from the escaping steam or liquid! Keep your hands and face at a sufficient distance from the valve; use kitchen
mitts (potholders). While removing the lid from the pressure cooker, be extremely careful; do not lean over the
cooker, so any scalding by hot steam is avoided. Do not remove the lid before the pressure inside drops sufficiently,
i.e. the steam is not escaping spontaneously, and the stop valve is released.
„WARM" FUNCTION SET-UP
This function mode will heat the food, or keep its temperature high for a long time.
1. Place the food to be prepared into the vessel (16).
2. Put the lid (5) on the pressure cooker.
3. Set the pressure control valve (1) to the STEAM position.
4. Press the WARM pushbutton on the control panel (17). The indicator light will start flashing, and the „0.0" symbol
shows on the display.
5. Press the START/STOP pushbutton. The indicator light stops flashing.
„BROWN" FUNCTION SET-UP
This function mode is designed for pre-cooking; browning the food before the actual cooking under pressure
commences. By browning, the prepared meat or poultry gets a better taste. Before putting meat into the vessel, it is
recommended to dry it with a paper towel – thus, you prevent sputtering caused by water drops in the cooking oil.
Put the meat in hot oil; do not soak it too much. Do not fry too much food at one time.
1. Place the food to be prepared into the vessel (16).
2. Add a reasonable amount of oil.
3. Press the BROWN pushbutton on the control panel (17). The indicator light starts flashing, and the „0.0" symbol
shows on the display. At this time, do not put the lid on the pressure cooker!
4. Press the START/STOP pushbutton. The indicator light stops flashing.
5. Once the oil is preheated, add the food and start frying it. Stirring is recommended!
6. During this cooking mode, the cooker beeps every 10 minutes to warn you it is set to a high temperature.
CAUTION: Do not leave the pressure cooker unattended while frying!
