• Only use the appliance in a dry, indoor area. It is intended for do-
mestic use and similar areas of use such as e.g.:
- In staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working
environments.
It is not intended for using in farm houses, by guests in hotels,
motels and other residential type environments as well as in Bed
& Breakfast type environments.
• The following symbols are shown on the product:
CAUTION:
Do not immerse the appliance into water for cleaning. Please
follow the instructions as stipulated in the chapter "Cleaning".

Unpacking the Appliance

1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging materials such as films, filler
material, cable clips and carton.
3. Check the contents for completeness.
4. In case of incomplete delivery or damage, do not oper-
ate the appliance. Return it to your dealer immediately.
NOTE:
Production residue or dust may have collected on the ap-
pliance. We recommend cleaning the appliance according
to chapter "Cleaning".

Notes for Use
Preparation
Before using for the first time, boil fresh water at least three
times in the appliance. Use only water without any additives
or ingredients.
Mains Cable
Completely unwind the length of mains cable that you
require from the bottom section of the base. Please ensure
that the mains cable does not become tangled up.
Electrical Connection
Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use
is the same as that of the appliance. Details are to be found
on the label on the base.
Switching On / Off
• Switching on:
Press the On / Off switch. The control lamp next to the
switch lights up.
• Switching off:
Press the On / Off switch. The control lamp next to the
switch goes off.
