OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Charging
Motorola Chargers are specifically
designed to work with Motorola Batteries,
the Chargers use unique algorithms and
Control circuits to provide the optimum
Charging profile. Each Charger has a
different charging regime which is
typically a Rapid Rate charge followed by
a Trickle Charge, some Chargers also
employ a Maintenance Charge. The
Chargers that employ a Maintenance
Charge are the ONLY Chargers capable
of use as 'Radio Stands'. Use of any
other charger as a permanent base for
Batteries or Radios with Batteries will
result in degradation of Battery
performance. When Charging Batteries
attached to Radios always ensure the
Radio is Switched off.
Charging should be carried out in a
ventilated area at or near the optimum
charging temperature of 25 deg C.
