DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION
The Cenelec and ATEX Batteries are
designed and approved for use in
Intrinsically Safe environments. They are
fast charge Nickel Cadmium Batteries
containing six (6) pressure vented cells
chosen for their unique properties. The
Battery design includes a number of
protection devices including a Safety
Module, which provides redundant circuits
for Current and Voltage limiting fundamental
to the intrinsically safe properties of the unit.
The nature of use and the Intrinsically Safe
design requirements of this Battery require
specific handling and charging procedures.
Failure to follow these procedures will result
in degradation of Battery performance.
