ItsImagical has created Conservatory, a musical learning method by
colours, to make their musical initiation easier.
To help your children enjoy music from an early age, we present the
system of learning by colours, designed so they can start playing with
no need for any previous musical knowledge. It's aimed at making
learning as simple and fun as possible and includes a guide with 9
popular tunes that will motivate them to play their first notes. With this
simple method, you can encourage your child to play well-known
tunes, thus helping them to gain confidence and develop basic musical
skills. Music, maestro!
1. HISTORY OF THE PIANO AND HOW TO PLAY IT
The piano is a struck string instrument developed from other
instruments by Bartolomeo Cristofori in 1711 in Padua, Italy. From
there it soon spread to the rest of Europe, and half a century later
arrived in the Americas.
On this piano with 22 white keys, the black keys, or sharp keys
(intermediate keys between the white notes) are represented on the
musical score with this symbol (♯).
To play, bend the fingers a little, rest them on the keys and press down
in the centre with your fingertips. The thumb is the only finger you use
on its side.
2. PARTS OF THE PIANO:
2.1. POWER: On/off

4. LEARNING MODES:
We have designed two learning modes so that every child, depending
on their age or abilities, can choose the mode best suited to them.
Either learn by colours, using the scores included, or by following the
lessons that appear on the piano screen.
• LEARNING BY COLOURS:
The colour method allows children to play tunes without any prior
musical knowledge.
To play by colours, attach the stickers that are included onto the
correct musical notes, as shown in Image 1.
This manual enables you to play by using colours and also by reading
the score for children who already know how to read music. Each
musical note is represented in the song scores included with the piano,
as follows:
C
D
E
F
As well as knowing the notes, we also have to play the right rhythm. To
help understand the rhythm patterns, we can look at the position of
each note in the stave. The length of each note is expressed as
follows:
½ beat (equals a "quaver")
1 beat (equals a "black" figure)
2 beats (equals a "white" figure)
3 beats (equals a "white figure with a dot")
4 beats (equals a "round" figure)
• LEARNING BY FOLLOWING A LESSON:
1. Press the POWER button (1) to turn on.
2. Press 4 to activate the learning mode.
3. Use the buttons (3) to select the tune (12 available).
4. Use the buttons (9) to increase or decrease the tempo.
5. Use the hand adjustment buttons (9) to change the chords. ("R"
indicates the keys and finger positions for right hand chords). ("L"
indicates the keys and finger positions for left hand chords). No sound
will be heard if you turn off the buttons for both hands.
The metronome symbol (A10) will appear on screen next to the tempo
number and the time signature for a pre-recorded tune or rhythm.
This keyboard has 8 rhythms. In order to reconfigure this and be able
to record different rhythms and sounds, follow these steps:
1. Select a rhythm (choose from 8) with the A12 button and an
instrument (8 to choose from) with A14.
2. Keys light up when played.
3. Press the A7 button to start recording and again to listen to the
recording.
