Inserting/changing batteries

For use, you require 2 batteries of type LR03 (AAA), 1.5 V (included). The battery
compartment is located on the underside of the device.
1. Press the locking tab slightly towards the battery compartment cover and remove
the battery compartment cover marked with OPEN.
2. Insert the batteries as shown on the base of the battery compartment.
Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-).
3. Put the battery compartment cover back in place. The locking tab must snap
securely into place.
Notes on changing the battery:
‚ A change of batteries becomes necessary when "LO" appears on the
display, or when nothing at all is displayed.
‚ Only use the type of battery that is specified in the "Technical Data".
‚ Always change both batteries at the same time.
‚ Dispose of batteries in an environmentally appropriate way
(see "Disposal").
Choosing the unit of measurement
When the scales are delivered, the unit of measurement is set to "kg" as standard.
However, the measurement result can also be displayed in the English units of
measurement, "lb" (pound) or "st" (stone:pound).

WARNING against injuries
− Be sure to keep the baby safe on a firm and stable base surface of
the scale. The scale and base surface, e.g. a table, must not wobble
in any case.
− Place the scales on an even, firm, and dry surface. Do not place the scales on a
carpet.
