1. DESCRIPTION
The TRIRED WL is a wireless passive infrared detector providing three parallel infrared beams. It
has been designed to offer efficient indoor as well as outdoor protection.
It is mounted inside a plastic casing apt to guarantee high resistance to atmospheric agents. It
must be mounted to a wall by means of the integrated swivel mounting bracket. Power supply is
submitted by a non rechargeable lithium battery. The wireless data transmission is made on the
frequencies 868MHz and 433MHz. The detector is equipped with an antimasking control for the
infrared beams.

The detector is compatible with the following control panels and wireless receivers, provided they
are updated to the indicated firmware version:

N.B. If used with the RX300/433868 wireless receiver, the antimasking control is not managed.
2. POSITIONING
The detector must be mounted at 1.35 to 2.20 meters height on a solid surface. The swivel
mounting bracket permits 180° (+/-90°) adjustment on the horizontal axis and 20° (+/-10°)
adjustment on the vertical axis. The displacement of the board inside the casing (see figure on
page 16) offers an additional 6° adjustment on the vertical axis.
3. INSTALLATION
The package contains a drilling template to facilitate the installation. The template indicates the
drilling holes and the dimensions of the screws for each of the fixing points. For the installation
follow the indications on pages 12 to 14.
4. FUNCTIONING
The dip-switch S1 permits programming of the detector's address, in case of configuration with two
detectors in the same area, and the detection logic as well as enabling/disabling of the
antimasking control (see table on page 2).
4.1 CONFIGURATION WITH 2 DETECTORS IN THE SAME AREA
It is possible to install 2 detectors in the same
two groups of infrared beams covering the same zone, or mounting one in front of the other to
obtain two opposite zones. To avoid conflicts during the wireless transmissions, e.g. of the alarm
signals, the detectors must be identified by two different addresses, which can be programmed
using the dip-switch S1.
4.2 ANTIMASKING CONTROL
The detector is equipped with three independent antimasking sensors, one for each beam, which
have the scope to identify objects put in front of the detector with the intent to mask it.
If the function is enabled, after closing of the casing, the antimasking sensors scan the ambiance
and determine the alarm threshold for approx. 3 minutes. If at least 2 antimasking sensors detect
simultaneously a signal variation which exceeds the alarm threshold, masking is acknowledged
and signaled to the control panel. End of masking is signaled if all of the antimasking sensors have
ceased to capture the variation for at least 1 minute. In case of masking of only one beam, the
antimasking alarm signal is not released but the detector adopts the detection logic which
considers the 2 unaffected beams.
4.3 DETECTION LOGIC
The alarm signal is released and transmitted to the control panel if the alarm condition
programmed by the dip-switch S1 is verified within 1 second.

A A A A A Porre la centrale di allarme in manutenzione (digitare il codice installatore) ed aprire il contenitore del
sensore. Verificare la posizione della scheda rispetto alle linee di riferimento che sono poste nel lato
inferiore sinistro della scheda stessa (determinano la portata del sensore), poi svitare le 6 viti che
tengono bloccata la scheda.
Mettez la centrale d'alarme en modalité d'entrentien (taper le code installateur) et ouvrez le boîtier du
détecteur. Vérifiez la position de la carte électronique par rapport aux indicateurs situés sur le côté
inférieure gauche de la carte même (ils déterminent la portée du détecteur), puis dévissez les 6 vis
qui maintiennent la carte bloquée.
Put the control panel into the maintenance mode (enter the installer code) and open the casing of the
detector. Check the position of the board in respect of the reference scale on the lower lefthand part
of the board (determines the detection range), then unscrew the 6 screws that block the board.
Ponga la central en el modo de mantenimiento (teclear el código instalador) y abra la carcasa del
detector. Compruebe la posición del circuito en proporción con la escala de referencia en la parte
baja izquierda del circuito (determina el alcance de detección), luego desatornille los 6 tornillos que
bloquean el circuito.
Versetzen Sie die Alarmanlage in den Wartungsmodus (Errichtercode eingeben) und öffnen Sie das
Gehäuse des Melders. Überprüfen Sie die Position der Platine auf der Skala im unteren linken Teil
der Platine (bestimmt die Reichweite der Melders). Lösen Sie die 6 Schrauben, die die Platine
blockieren.

Remove the board and unplug the discharged battery.

Unscrew the 4 screws and remove the cover of the battery bay.
Desatornille los 4 tornillos y quite la tapa del portabatería.
Lösen Sie die 4 Schrauben und entfernen Sie die Abdeckung des Batteriefachs.
D D D D D Inserire e collegare la batteria nuova, richiudere il contenitore e uscire dalla modalità manutenzione.
Insérez et raccordez la nouvelle batterie, fermez le boîtier et sortez de la modalité d'entretien.
Insert and connect the new battery, close the casing and quit the maintenance mode.
Introduzca y conecte la batería nueva, cierre la caja y quite el modo de mantenimiento.
Legen Sie die neue Batterie ein, schließen Sie das Gehäuse und verlassen Sie den Wartunsmodus.
