SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Intended Use
• This device is intended to be used for dry-ironing and steam-ironing textiles.
• The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
• Use the device only as described in the instructions. Any other use is deemed to be
improper.
• The warranty does not cover faults caused by incorrect handling, damage,
calcifi cation or repair attempts. This also applies to normal wear and tear

• This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if
they are supervised or have received instruction on how to use the device safely
and have understood the dangers resulting from this.
• Children may not play with the device.
• Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children.
• Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the
device and the connecting cable.
• Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable dust or poisonous and
explosive fumes.
• Only use and store the device out of the reach of children and animals. Improper
use may result in injury and electrical shock. The mains cable must also be kept out
of the reach of children and animals.
WARNING
Warning of hot surfaces! The bottom of the iron gets very hot during
use. You should therefore only hold the device by the handle when you
are operating it. Do not touch the bot- tom of the iron during or shortly
after use.
• After use, the device may still be very hot. Allow it to cool down completely before
you empty the water reservoir and/or clean the device and store it away.
• The device should always be unplugged from the power supply if it is not
supervised, before you pour water into the water reservoir or empty it and before
cleaning.
• Place the device on a fl at, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant surface.
• If the device, the connecting cable or the plug of the device is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or customer service department or a similarly
qualifi ed person (e. g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.
