TROUBLESHOOTING

If the device should stop working properly, first check whether you are able to correct
the problem yourself
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!!
Problem
The device does not work.
The operating lamp does
not light up/flash.
Water emerges from the
bottom of the iron.
Odour produced
The device makes loud
pumping noises.
No steam is produced.
Possible cause/solution
• Is the mains plug correctly inserted into the socket?
• Is the socket defective? Try a different socket and
check the fuse of your mains connection.
• Is the water reservoir overfilled? Pour away some
water (see the „After Use" section).
• You might notice a slight odour caused by
production residues the first time you use the
device. However, this is harmless and will cease as
you use the device.
• Is the water reservoir empty? Refill it.
• Is the water reservoir filled with water?
• The steam production is not activated. Press the
steam on/ off button (13).
• If you have set a high temperature, the steam
which is generated is dry and almost invisible. This
is exacerbated by a high ambient temperature.
Switch the temperature control to a lower
temperature to check whether the device is pro-
ducing steam.
• Have you not moved the device for some time? The
automatic safety switch-off function was activated.
Take hold of the handle so that the device switches
back on and heats up again.
