AD1000 requires a 3 core connection to the ATS1290N DGP /
ATS Master panel. See Figure 3.
DIP switches 1–5: Adress setting 0–31
DIP switch 6: Adress setting –61 (BUS-1 only, ATS IADS
bus OFF)
DIP switch 7: OFF-ATS IADS bus, ON-universal BUS-1*
DIP switch 8: OFF (not used)
Sp / Spare: Potential free terminal
− / GND: Connect to "−" AUX power of ATS Master panel
D / Bus: Connect to "+" IADS bus output of ATS1290N
+ / +12V: Connect to "+" AUX power ATS Master panel
* For further details on Universal BUS-1 visit the download
area www.support-security.de.
Examples for IADS address setting
Address 00 = DIP 0000 0000
Address 08 = DIP 0001 0000
Address 15 = DIP 1111 0000
Address 31 = DIP 1111 1000
Note:
DIP switch 8 must stay in OFF position.
Learn-in procedure und programming
After powering up the AD600/AD1000 units installed in the
conventional detectors, wait 2 minutes for the correct
initialization before starting the learn mode.
AD600 and AD1000 are compatible with all known IADS-
devices as AD011, AD111, AD044, EV435-AD, EV435AM-AD,
DD205-AD, MK46-AD, and can be used in any combination
with existing installed devices accordantly to the selected DGP
mode (16 or 32 devices).
As conventional detectors are powered via the panel power
supply and not via the IADS bus, up to 32X AD600/AD1000
devices can be used with the ATS1290N DGP.
After the learn-in procedure, AD600 / AD1000 will be identified
as "EV435-AD" and allow you to program the corresponding
zone number depending of the IADS-address and outputs for
the walk test and alarm memory function. As only conventional
detectors are connected to AD600/AD1000, the range setting
(location 3) and process mode (location 4) cannot be used. By
default outputs of AD600 / AD1000 are for positive (+12 V)
control voltage for controlling the walk test LED and the
day/night function of the DD600/EV1000/VE1000 detectors. In
case the polarity needs to be changes, this can be done by
inverting the corresponding ATS-outputs for the walk test and
day/night inputs of the detector.
Limitations when connecting AM-detectors to AD600 /
AD1000
As the AD600/AD1000 are acting as I/O interfaces with one
dual-zone input and two outputs, it is necessary to program
anti-masking detectors to signal a technical fault or
antimasking condition to the alarm output.
