Balance Control: (on remote handset only)
The balance control found on the remote
handset only permits equal output of each
channel in the center (00.0) position without
additional loading to the signal. When shifted
to the left or right, it merely attenuates the
opposite channel. When operating the balance
control, the display will show < – -. – If the
balance control is shifted to the left or – -. – > if
the balance control is shifted to the right. The
amount of attenuation will be show on the DIGIT
display in increments of 0.5 up to 20.0. At 20
the opposite channel outputs no signal since
the balance is completely shifted to one side.
Mute
Press the MUTE button to temporarily mute
the VOLUME to 0. When activating the MUTE
function "MUTE" will readout in the display.
Switching mute on and off can be done by either
pushing the MUTE button momentarily on the
OMEGA SERIES PRE-AMPLIFIER faceplate or on
the remote handset. The volume setting will
remain the same when the unit is in mute mode;
thus Volume will return to the same level it was
playing at prior to muting when you turned off
MUTE mode.
PLEASE NOTE: The display will change to Display
Full Off mode after the unit has been in MUTE
mode for an hour.
PLEASE NOTE: When the OMEGA SERIES PRE-
AMPLIFIER is in mute mode, and the volume
control is turned up using the volume control
on the remote or the unit, the play mode will
be automatically selected.
Volume
The VOLUME CONTROL varies the output level
of both channels simultaneously. It is operated
from the remote wand by pressing the VOLUME
DOWN (\/) button or the VOLUME UP button (/\).
The volume control has a total of 120 steps of
level adjustments from 0 to 60 in 0.5 stepped
increments.
PLEASE NOTE: When the pre-amplifier is
taken out of standby mode, the volume will
automatically be set to zero (0) and the pre-
amplifier will be muted. ("MUTE" read-out in
display). Adjusting the volume UP will un-mute
the pre-amplifier and the selected source may
be heard.

Bitte lesen Sie sich die Bedienungsanleitung vor
Gebrauch des Gerätes genau durch. Sie enthält
wichtige Sicherheitsvorschriften, die unbedingt
zu beachten sind! Bewahren Sie die
Bedienungsanleitung so auf, dass sie jederzeit
zugänglich ist.
Nehmen Sie das Gerät nur bei geschlossenem
Gehäuse in Betrieb. Ansonsten setzen Sie sich
gefährlichen Spannungen aus.
Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, prüfen
Sie, ob die Betriebsspannung mit der örtlichen
Netzspannung übereinstimmt. Die
Betriebsspannung ist an der Rückseite des
Gerätes angegeben.
Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in die Nähe von
Wärmequellen (Heizkörper, Wärmespeicher, Öfen
oder sonstige wärmeerzeugende Geräte).
Extreme Wärme kann zu einer Beschädigung des
Gerätes führen.
Dieses Gerät darf nur in trockenen Räumen
betrieben werden. Um die Gefahr von Feuer oder
eines elektrischen Schlages auszuschließen,
dürfen keine Flüssigkeiten oder Fremdkörper in
das Gerät gelangen. Sollte dieser Fall trotzdem
einmal eintreten, trennen Sie das Gerät sofort
vom Netz. Lassen Sie es von einem autorisierten
Fachmann prüfen und die notwendigen
Reparaturarbeiten durchführen.
Das Gerät ist ausschließlich von einem
autorisierten Fachmann zu öffnen und zu
reparieren.
Bei Gewitter oder wenn Sie das Gerät für eine
längere Zeit nicht in Betrieb nehmen, ziehen Sie
den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
Dieses Gerät sollte, wie andere Elektrogeräte
auch, nicht unbeaufsichtigt betrieben werden.
