Operation

Please note the following when controlling a
duplicator using this unit.
• When the POWER switch is turned OFF, no
functions will operate except for the clock.
• Functions which are not supported on the duplicator
will be disabled.
• This unit does not accept status signals from a
duplicator. (There is no 2-way communication
between this unit and the duplicator.) Consequently,
even if an operation button on this unit is lit, this does
not mean that the duplicator is operating as indicated.

After checking the points below, turn the POWER
switch ON.

What to check for
Lithium battery
That the lithium battery is properly
installed. (See page 18.)

BATTERY switch
Set to ON if the date and time
settings are to be saved.
LED display switch That it is set to DATE/U ID.
DATE switch
That desired mode (M/D/Y or D/M/
Y) is selected.
The date and time will appear in the LED display
as shown below (when the DATE switch is set to
M/D/Y).

When the LEDs are blinking
The battery is exhausted. Replace it with a new
battery. If the battery's power is completely used
up, the date and time data that has been saved will
be lost.

Press the CLOCK SET button using a ball point
pen, etc.
The clock stops and the "Year" display (last two
digits of the year) begins to blink.

Pressing the INC or DEC button, set the "Year"
display to the value desired.

Press the SHIFT button to have another display
blink.
Each time you press the SHIFT button, "Month",
"Day", "Hour" and "Minute" displays blink in this
order.

Pressing the INC or DEC button, set the blinking
display to the value desired.

Set all displays to the values desired by repeating
steps 4 and 5.

Press the CLOCK SET button again.
The date and time that have been set will be stored
and the clock will begin operating.
When a non-existent date or time is set
For example, if February 30 is set, the date and time
will return to that which is shown in step 1. Set to the
correct time and date.
To correct the values
Before pressing the CLOCK SET button in step 7,
press the SHIFT button to have the desired display
blink, then correct the value using the INC and DEC
buttons.
