• Only use the device for its intended purpose. All other uses may lead to short circuits, burns, electroshocks,
crash, etc. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
• Do not add oils, perfume or any other liquid in the smoke liquid.
• The installation has to be approved by an expert before the device is taken into service.
• Connect the device to the mains with the power plug. Don't connect it to a dimming pack.

4. Installation

• Remove all packing material from the shipping box. Check that all foam and plastic padding is removed.
• Clean the spray nozzle and make sure nothing is obstructing the output.
• Place the VDL700HZ horizontally on a flat surface. Remove the liquid tank cap.
• Pour high quality smoke liquid (VDLSL1, VDLSL5 or VDLSLH5) into the tank, being careful not to exceed the
maximum fluid level. Do not overfill. Place the cap back on the liquid tank and tighten.
• Connect the remote control into the slot at the back of the device.
5. Use
a) The Device
• Plug the remote control into the slot at the back of the device. Plug the device into the mains using the power
cord.
• Turn on the power switch located at the back of the device.
• The red light on the remote control will light up.
• The device must warm up. The period depends on the conditions but should not take more than 10 minutes.
• The green light on the remote control will go up once the machine is ready to operate (see "The Remote
Control").
• If there is no liquid in the tank, the VDL700HZ will automatically switch off so the device will not be damaged. The
pump remains shut until smoke fluid is added to the device.
b) The Remote Control
• Engage the timer function and adjust the time (10 ~ 200 sec.) between discharges with the INTERVAL knob.
• Control the volume of smoke (0% ~ 100% output) produced with the VOLUME knob.
• The yellow TIMER button controls the timer function. Press the button to activate. The yellow light on the remote
control will go up. The smoke output duration is set at 13 seconds.
• Pressing the red CONTINUOUS button sets the device to constant smoke production.
• Holding down the green MANUAL button will produce a continuous blast at maximum volume. When released,
the device will return to the previous setting: timer, continuous or stationary.
6. Notes
• The CONTINUOUS function overrides the TIMER function. Therefore, if both buttons have been pressed, the
VDL700HZ will produce smoke continuously. The MANUAL function overrides all functions. When using the
MANUAL function, the device will produce smoke at maximum volume for as long as the button is held down,
regardless of the device's settings at that time.
• Always monitor the tank fluid level during operation. The device can suffer damage when run without fluid.
• If you experience low output, mechanical noise or no output at all, unplug the device immediately. Check the fluid
level, the external fuse, the remote control and the power cord. If all appears to be working properly, plug in the
unit again. If the device will not function after 30 seconds, discontinue operation to avoid permanent damage.
Return the device to your dealer. Remember to drain the tank before transporting the unit.
• Using the device will produce water drops at the nozzle. This is perfectly normal.
• A little smoke may continue to escape from the nozzle after operation.
