E DC current measurement
For this measurement, no measurement leads must
be located in the measuring device.
To measure DC current, proceed as follows:
Set the rotary switch to "DC= 400A" or "DC= 1000A".
Open the current clamp with the clamp opening lever. During DC
current measurements, enclose not more than one insulated con-
ductor. Close the clamp around the current-carrying cable by relea-
sing the clamp opening lever. The contact surfaces of the clamp
must be securely closed; the cable(s) must move freely within the
clamp opening. Ensure that the cable is positioned as centrally as
possible during the reading.
During DC current measurement, the current flow direction is of im-
portance (also see the "+" mark on the right half of the clamp).
Without fail, observe the safety instructions during all measure-
ments.
Just below the "clamp" is a hand protector, a pla-
stic ridge. While enclosing the cable or current rail
and during measurements, never grip beyond the
hand protector - DANGER TO LIFE !
Do not measure any currents in circuits in which
voltages greater than 1000 VDC or 750 VAC rms can
occur, to avoid damaging the measuring instrument
and endangering life as a result. Never measure
currents greater than 1000 A.

Ensure that all circuit components, circuits, chips
and other test points to be measured are complete-
ly voltage-free.

Attention !
Pendant ce calibrage (compensation à zéro) aucun
conducteur ne devra se trouver dans la transfo-pin-
ce. La pince ne devra pas se trouver à proximité
d'un champ magnétique perturbant lors de la com-
pensation (par ex. haut-parleurs, machines électri-
ques, etc.). Les surfaces de contact des bras de la
pince devront être propres et fermées.
Si la compensation à zéro ne peut pas être exécutée correctement,
vous procéderez de la manière suivante :
Nach mehreren durchgeführten Gleichstrommessungen kann in der
Zange ein Restmagnetismus vorhanden sein. Celui-ci pourra être
éliminé, en modifiant le sens du courant à mesurer en connectant
la transfo-pince en sens inverse.
Ouvrez et fermez la pince plusieurs fois à la suite (cliqueter). Ensui-
te, essayez à nouveau d'effectuer la compensation à zéro.
B Mesure de tensions alternatives
Ne dépassez jamais les valeurs maximales d'entrée,
même s'il s'agit de mesurer des tensions de cou-
rant continu superposées. max. 750 VAC rms.
Ne touchez aucun branchement ou corps de bran-
chement, si vous souhaitez mesurer des tensions
supérieures à 25 VACrms ou à 35 VDC.
Pour mesurer des tensions de courant alternatif, procédez comme
suit :
