• The Bluetooth® function of the handheld transmitter, which
can be set in the menu, serves as an audio interface for
playing various audio sources as well as for playing back
audio signals. In order to connect the Unite TH handheld
transmitter with another device (e.g. headphone,
smartphone or computer) via Bluetooth®, pairing with the
connecting device must be carried out first. A detailed
description of the procedure can be found in the
comprehensive "Unite" manual on the internet at
www.beyerdynamic.com.
5.
Create / define a new pairing
Transmitters and receivers must be paired so that they
can communicate with each other. For a successful
pairing the channel name, group ID and audio encryption
key are required. The required audio encryption key is
generated in the charger or via the Unite Manager soft-
ware and during the pairing process it is first stored on the
charger and then it is transferred to the transmitter and
receiver in the charger. In this context, please also note
the position of the switch on the charger. The switch must
be set to the "Pair & Charge" position so that the pairing
information can be transmitted from the charger to the
transmitters and receivers.
There are three different ways to pair the Unite transmitters
with receivers:
1.
Via an individual charger (refer to the following
description or system manual online).
2. Using the Unite Manager Software on a PC (refer to
the Unite Manager Software manual or system
manual online).
3. Via dynamic channel search (refer to system manual
online, chapter "Special functions".
Use with group ID 256
By default, the transmitters and receivers are supplied
with the group ID 256.
A factory-set audio encryption key, which cannot be
changed, is used for the factory-set group ID 256. The
audio encryption key ensures additional security against
unauthorised listening. You can use the group ID 256 for
a system without pairing.
Receivers with the group ID 256 can find and connect to
all transmitters with the group ID 256. This is done via the
dynamic channel search on the receiver.
ttention: When using several transmitters (e.g. Unite AP4
and several Unite TP) with the group ID 256 at the same
time, make sure that the individual channel names differ
from each other! Otherwise this can cause connection
problems with the receivers!
