Throttle

The accelerator can be used once the E-bike is switched on. You 'open
the throttle' by rotating the accelerator toward you. For the first use, try out
the accelerator carefully to become accustomed with the power that the
accelerator gives. Use of the throttle at low speed costs a lot of energy.
This affects the range of the E-bike. The accelerator provides extra
assistance and can be used in the following ways.
Walking assistance: extra support when you are walking alongside
your bike
If you are bringing the bike out of a cellar, for example, then the throttle can
give you extra support, so that you do not have to push the bike upwards
using only your own strength. The throttle gives support up to a speed of 3
k.p.h. For optimal safety, the walking assistance only functions if the E-bike
system detects that the wheel is turning.
Start-off assistance: extra support when setting off
You can use the throttle when setting off. For optimal safety, the start-off
assistance only functions if the E-bike system detects that the wheel is
turning.
Boost function: extra support while cycling
The throttle can give the pedal assistance an extra impulse while you are
cycling. This is handy if you want to overtake someone or if you have to go
up a hill. The impulse can be felt most strongly at a low pedal assistance
level.
