INSTALLATION MANUAL - PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULES-
NA-E115L5, NA-E120L5, NA-E125L5, NA-E130L5, NA-E135L5
1. INSTALLATION
The mounting method has been verified by SHARP and NOT
CERTIFIED by a third party organization. Please review the
descriptions and drawings carefully; not mounting the modules
according to this method may void your guaranty. This module satisfies
the requirement of mechanical load test at 2400Pa in accordance with
IEC61646. Depending upon the wind load and the angle of inclination,
non-slip safeguards and spacers between the modules should be
attached.
<For US market>
This module satisfies the requirement of maximum positive or negative
design loading of 34 lbs/ft
2
CSA.
Mounting Using Long side mounting of Module: Long Edge
(Figure 1)
The modules may be mounted using clamps on the long sides of the
module as shown in Figure 1. The clamp centerlines must be between
S1, S2, S4 from the ends of the module. The modules should be fixed
rigidly by the tool which can be controlled the tightening torque (torque
wrench etc) so that the module should not slip down. The modules
should be mounted so that the module should not be subjected to extra
stress (etc. torsion stress) under all operating conditions. The array
rails must be continuous pieces (no breaks in the rail).
Requirement of the clamps
a) Note that the mounting clamps should meet the dimensions (catch
width of between 0.39" (10mm) and 0.47" (12mm) shown in Figure2
and length of not less than S3, S5 and shown in Figure 1.)
b) In order to satisfy the requirement of mechanical load test at 2400Pa
in accordance with IEC61646 or 34lbs/ft
UL1703, following clamping methods must be followed. (Figure 1)
・≥160mm clamp width with 6 fix points
・≥200mm clamp width with 4 fix points
c) Ensure that the clamps do not throw shadows onto cells. The
distance from glass edge to the active cell amounts to 16mm.
(Figure2)
d) Minimum distance at side between the glass edge and inner side of
the rubber should be not less than 1mm at 25°C (Figure2) to allow for
thermal expansion of the module.
e) Adjust the clamp height to the module thickness.
f) EPDM Rubber (or similar material) must be inserted between the
module and clamps. (Figure2)
g) Screw torques should follow the instructions supplied by mounting
system and clamp manufacturers.
Cable direction
In case of installation with portrait position, it is recommended that the
wires hang downwards.
(1600Pa) which has been evaluated by

2. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
Cable characteristics
Conductor size: 2.5mm
Type: TUV Rheiland 2pfg1169, PV1-F, UL4703/PV Wire/USE-2
Temperature rating of conductor: -40~90°C
Module configuration
# Maximum series configuration.
The number of modules in series configuration has to be chosen on
the local conditions considering 1000V, maximum system voltage.
<For US market>
The maximum system voltage is 600V based on UL1703.
# Maximum parallel configuration.
Parallel connection of each string shall be conducted with following
two options. Any other parallel connections are prohibited.
a) Case of using the diodes: 1 diode per maximum 2 parallel strings
(Connect a diode or more in series for every string or every 2
parallel strings for protection of module from reverse current over
load.)
b) Case of using the fuses: 1 fuse per every string (Connect a fuse for
every single string for protection of module from reverse current
over load.)
Inverter requirement
All the modules must have positive potential to the ground.
To do this, for example, use an inverter with internal minus-grounding
or set the negative DC pole of the inverter to the ground.
The grounding must be in line with the local laws and regulations for
the electrical safety of the PV system.
Please contact the inverter manufacturer for details.
Connection cables requirement
a) The module is fitted with SMK Corporation connectors.
b) The PV connector manufactured by SMK Corporation
(CCT9901-2452F / CCT9901-2352F) of must be used for extending
the module connecting leads.
c) The connections must be completely done and locked.
d) When removing the connection, the lock part should be pressed.
e) When removing the connection of Connector type CCT9901-2352F,
the dedicated tool (manufacturer: SMK Corp., No. 306CCT-003-01F) is
recommended.
Insert the release tool in the lock part
