DWELL measurements

• Position the rotary switch in the DWELL section, by selecting the number of
cylinders according to the number of cylinders of the motor being tested.
• Connect the black cord to the "COM" bushing.
• Connect the red cord to the "INPUT" bushing.
• Take the measurement according to the diagram in figure page 78.

RPM measurements

• Position the rotary switch in the TACH section, by selecting the number of
cylinders according to the number of cylinders of the motor being tested.
• Connect the black cord to the "COM" bushing.
• Connect the red cord to the "INPUT" bushing.
• Take the measurement according to the diagram in figure page 79.
Continuity and diode test
• Position the rotary switch on: "
• Connect the black lead to the "COM" bushing.
• Connect the red lead to the "INPUT" bushing (the polarity of the red lead is
positive).
• Press the "FUNC" push-button to select the measurement mode "
or " "
• If the continuity test is selected, connect the leads as shown in figure page 76.
If there is a continuity, the buzzer will beep.
• If the diode test is selected, connect the leads as shown in figure page 76 and
take the measurement.
N.B.: never connect the leads directly to a source of voltage.
