Precautions for use

• When using this instrument, carefully follow the safety regulations and the
operating instructions.
• Carefully read all the operating instructions before operating the instrument,
and be very careful of the notes in bold.
• Carefully check the instrument and the measuring leads before use, to search
for any damage or anomaly. If any anomaly is detected (e.g. broken leads, worn
insulation, damaged casing etc.) do not try to take measurements.
• Do not let the instrument under direct sunlight, frost or high temperatures.
• When measuring voltages below 60V DC or 40V AC you are always in safety mode.
During the measurements, take your fingers behind the barriers of the leads.
• Never use the instrument to measure any voltage above the maximum input
value of each capacity.
• Before turning the rotary switch, disconnect the leads from the circuit being
tested.
• Do not connect the instrument to any voltage sources when the rotary switch
is positioned on the following functions: Ampere - Ohm - Continuity - Diode
test - Temperature - DWELL - RPM.

Maintenance

• Before opening the instrument, always disconnect it and the leads from any
energized circuit.
• Never use the instrument if its back is not properly positioned and screwed.
• Never use solvents or abrasives on the instrument. To clean it, use a wet rug
and a mild detergent.
