• Connect the black lead to the "COM" bushing.
• Connect the red lead to the "10A" bushing.
• Press the "FUNC" push-button to select A DC.
• Press the "RANGE" push-button to select the auto-range or manual
measurement mode.
• Take the measurement according to the diagram in figure page 71.
Note: a) if the "OL" message appears on the display, the value being measured is
greater than the maximum expected capacity.
b) The " – " sign indicates the negative polarity of the signal with respect
to the position of insertion of the leads.
N.B.: in the current measurements, the instrument with respect to
ground shall not be set to voltages above 500V. Do not connect the
leads directly to any source of voltage when switched over in
current measurements. This may be dangerous, and the instrument
could be permanently damaged.
Direct current measurements (DC) with accessory
• Position the rotary switch in the
measurement mode, the highest capacity, in the event that the current value
to be measured is unknown.
• Connect the black lead of the clamp to the "COM" bushing.
• Connect the red lead of the clamp to the "INPUT" bushing.
• Press the "FUNC" push-button to select A DC.
• Press the "RANGE" push-button to select the auto-range or manual
measurement mode.
• Take the measurement according to the diagram in figure page 73.
Note: a) if the "OL" message appears on the display, the value being measured is
greater than the maximum expected capacity.
b) The " – " sign indicates the negative polarity of the signal with respect

Alternating current measurements (AC) max. 10A
• Position the rotary switch in the A position, by selecting, always in the manual
measurement mode, the highest capacity, in the event that the current value
to be measured is unknown.
• Connect the black lead to the "COM" bushing.
• Connect the red lead to the "10A" bushing.
• Press the "FUNC" push-button to select A AC.
• Press the "RANGE" push-button to select the auto-range or manual
measurement mode.
• Take the measurement according to the diagram in figure page 72.
