Disassembling
The juicer needs to be disassembled before it can be cleaned
after use.
1. Turn off the appliance and unplug it from the wall outlet.
2. Tip the locking bar down and take off the lid.
3. Take the juice receptacle and stainless steel filter off the
motor.
4. To remove the stainless steel filter, pull it up.
Cleaning
• The lid, pusher and juice receptacle can be cleaned in hot
water with some washing-up liquid added.
• The stainless steel filter is best cleaned under running water
using a washing-up brush. Hold the filter at its edge and
move the brush from the centre of the filter towards its
edge. Be careful not to damage the filter.
Tip
To make the stainless steel filter easier to clean, immerse it in
hot washing-up water for about 10 minutes immediately after
use.
• Wipe the base with a damp cloth.
• After cleaning, allow all parts to perfectly dry before you
reassemble the appliance.
Stains
Food with a persistent own colour, e.g. carrots, may leave
colours stains on the plastic parts of the juicer. This will not
generally affect the operability of the unit, thought.
• The best method of preventing stains is to clean the juicer
and all its parts immediately after use.
• Use cooking oil to remove smaller stains.
Some liquid with bleaching agent is a good means of removing
existing stains. Contact a specialised dealer to obtain
bleaching agent.
1. Add about 2 tablespoons of bleaching agent to litre of
water.
2. Immerse the plastic parts in the bleach for max. 5 minutes.
3. Rinse the parts under running water and leave to dry.
Note
- Read the manufacturer's instructions on the package of
bleaching agent.
- Do not immerse the stainless steel filter in the bleach.

Interesting facts about juice
General
This manual and its instructions on how to make juice focus
on the taste, quality and flavour of the juice produced.

But apart from its health benefits juice also gives you the
tickling enjoyment of taste.
Juice contains 95% of the nutrients contained in fruit and
vegetables. If made from fresh fruit and vegetables, juice is
a substantial element of a wellbalanced diet. Freshly pressed
fruit and vegetable juices are an easily tapped source of vita-
mins and minerals. Since the nutritive contents of juice very
rapidly go into the blood they are the fastest way of feeding
nourishment to your body.
lt you make the juice yourself, you have the added benefit of
being able to decide what is in it. Once you have selected your
favourite fruit or vegetable or any mixture of different kinds,
you are also free to add sugar, salt or other flavouring.
To avoid a loss of vitamins, it is best to drink the fresh juice
immediately after preparing it.
How to best buy and keep fruit & vegetables
• Always wash fruit and vegetables before juicing.
• Always use fresh fruit and vegetables for juicing.
• Buying fruits and vegetables of the season is the best way
of saving money and making fresh food.
• Keep a stock of fruits and vegetables for juicing. Wash fruit
and vegetables before juicing.
• Most fruit and vegetables with a hard skin can be kept in
a cool place rather than in the fridge. Sensitive and perish-
able food, such as tomatos, berries, vegetables with leaves,
celery, cucumber and herb plants, are best kept in the fridge
and only in manageable amounts.
How to correctly juice fruit and vegetables
• The best method of producing blends of different juices is
to feed the juicer hard and soft food in turns. For example,
to extract juice from two kinds of root vegetables such as
carrots and beetroot plus a soft vegetable like tomatoes,
you should begin with the beetroot, then process the toma-
toes, and add the carrots last. This way of alternating
between hard and soft food best keeps the filter from being
clogged up with pulp and ensures that the juicer produces
juice to the best of its ability.
• To mix root vegetables with herbs or vegetables with small
leaves, we suggest to wrap the latter in a big salad leaf or
spinach leaf, or to push them down the chute between
pieces of root vegetable.
• Each type of fruit and vegetable contains its own characteris-
tic amount of liquid which not only depends on the type but
also on its quality and way of cultivation. For example,
a tomato bought today may well produce a different
amount of juice than a tomato bought tomorrow. Since the
exact proportion of each fruit in a blend does not make
much difference to the actual juicing technique, we will not
go into any recipe details at this point. Whatever juice you
make, juicing will never become a real household challenge.
• To get the most juice from the food, we suggest that you
exert but little pressure on the pusher as it goes down the
chute.
