10. Discontinuing use

If the pump must be disconnected from the hose (for example for cleaning, maintenance or winter storage), proceed
as follows:
• Disconnect the water pump from the power supply, pull the mains plug from the mains socket.
• Pull the clear water pump out of the water using the attachment rope or the handle.
The clear water pump must never be pulled out using the mains cable or the hose! The mains cable can be
damaged and there is a risk of a fatal electrical shock! Disconnect the hose from the clear water pump.
• Disconnect the hose from the clear water pump.
• Let the residual water run out of the clear water pump by tilting it.
• Dry the clear water pump and the mains cable. Then wind up the mains cable.
• In winter, store the water pump in a dry space that is protected against frost.
In outdoor temperatures equal to or below 0 °C, the water freezes in the pump, leading to its destruction
and the loss of warranty/guarantee!
Therefore, empty the pump on time. To do this, remove all hoses and empty the pump. Store the pump in
a dry and frost-free place (for example in a cellar).
Think of emptying the hoses installed outdoor in order to avoid frost damages; open possibly mounted
water taps.
• After the operation or emptying, a small residual amount of water may remain in the pump. When storing or
transporting in a vehicle, a suitable pad must be used to protect against water stains or other damages.

11. Troubleshooting

The clear water pump you have purchased is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is safe to operate.
However, problems and malfunctions can occur. Therefore, observe the following information on how to solve the
possible malfunctions.
The pump does not suck
• Open any shut-off ball valve on the pressure side, as the air in the hose or in the pump cannot escape. Move the
pump back and forth. If necessary, add water to the pump or hose. Pull the mains plug of the pump out of the mains
plug and plug it in again.
• Clean the suction holes (first disconnect the clear water pump from the mains voltage!).
• The water level is too low, only air is sucked in.
