Trouble codes and required actions
Faulty supply water sensor
· Go to the user menu and check temperature T1.
· If the temperature is higher than +99.9 ºC, there is no connection between the sensor
and the AM40 ECU.
- broken wire or disconnected connector -> check
- if no mechanical fault is found, supply water sensor T1 must be replaced
· If the supply water temperature is below zero, there is a short-circuit in the sensor circuit.
- short-circuit in the wire -> check the wire
- if no mechanical fault is found, supply water sensor T1 must be replaced
Antenna Unit faulty
· Take the room unit to the ECU.
· Check that the antenna unit is connected and that the wire is intact.
· Switch off the supply current to the ECU for a moment and then remove one of the room
unit batteries for a while.
· Then power up the devices again – if they function normally, press the commissioning
button D on the room unit with the tip of a pen, select RF, and take the room unit back to
its location.
· Give the device a moment to calculate the mean value for the success of radio commu-
nications; if the figure is less than 30%, move the room unit to see if you can find better
reception nearby.
· The location of the antenna essentially affects the radio communications range – always
place the antenna as high as possible.
Faulty external temperature sensor
If the temperature in lower than expected there is no connection
between sensor and AM40 ECU
· broken wire or faulty sensor
If the temperature is higher than expected there is a short circuit in the sensor circuit
· short circuit in the wire or faulty sensor
