5. WIRING

Important !
If you try the system before installing it, make sure the street unit and the monitor are not in the same room,
otherwise the videophone will emit piercing feedback noise.
a. Connection of videophone
Use the following wires: • lengths up to 25 metres: 2 x 6/10 wires
• lengths between 25 and 100 metres: 2 x 1.5 mm
1. Connect the wires securely following the wiring diagram below.
2. To connect the video camera, only 2 wires are needed for all the functions: chime, video image, intercom and
opening commands (lock and automatic control).
Caution :
Under no circumstances should the wired be doubled to make them thicker
b. Connection of a gate mechanism
• For controlling an automatic gate opener connect directly the "COM"
and "NO" terminals to the push-button control of the electronic card of
your automatic gate opener.
• It is possible to setup the closing time of the contact with the Dip1 at
the back of the monitor Dip1 in OFF position = 1 second / Dip1 in ON
position = 3 seconds
Dip 2 : not used (leave on OFF)

that this function is only valid when the screen is
switched on.
c. Connection of an electrich catch or lock
• If the installation comes with an electric strike or lock it is necessary to
use a bridge between the "NO" and "PL" terminals of the camera panel.
• Then connect the strike or the lock to the "GND" and "COM"
terminals.

It is essential that the electric latch or lock installed has a mechanical memory like all products mar-
keted by Extel. For the wiring diagram please consult the label on the back of the monitor and the back of the video camera.

6. USING

a. Minimum requirements
• Setting the language
The menu is originally in French. However it is possible to change the language of the menu.
• When the monitor is in standby mode (screen turned off), press one of the
buttons +,-, or

• Press for 3 seconds to access the language menu
• 7 possibilities 1 English 2 French 3 Spanish 4 Portuguese
5 German 6 Italian 7 Dutch
• Select the language with the keys +/ -
