AUTO POWER OFF
• The meter will automatically shut off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Press the POWER switch to power up again.
DATA HOLD & CABLE TEST MANUAL SWITCH
• Press HOLD/TEST; the measured data will be held in the display and show
BACKLIGHT
• Press LIGHT to activate the display backlight. It will automatically turn off after ± 15 seconds.
NOTE: Frequent use of the backlight function will drain the battery faster resulting in inaccurate measurements.
PREPARTION FOR MEASUREMENT
• Press POWER. If the battery voltage is less than 7.8V the display will show

• Select a function and a range for the item to be measured by rotating the selector. Set the selector at the highest
range when the value of the item is unknown.
• Connect to the public testing line first and then to the live line. Proceed in reverse order to disconnect.
DC VOLTAGE
Do not measure voltages over 1 000V DC to avoid electroshocks or damages to the meter.
• Insert the black test lead into the COM jack and the red test lead into the V/ jack.
• Set the selector at the V range.
• Connect the test leads with the item to be measured.
• Read the value from the LCD.
Note:
• At low voltage range, the meter will show an unstable value only when the test leads are not connected to the
circuit. This is normal since the meter is very sensible. The meter will show a steady value as soon as the leads
are connected to the circuit.
• Select a higher range when the meter shows "1".
AC VOLTAGE
Do not measure voltages over 750V AC RMS to avoid electroshocks or damages to the meter.
• Insert the black test lead into the COM jack and the red test lead into the V/ jack.
• Set the selector at the V range.
• Connect the test leads with the item to be measured.
• Read the value from the LCD.
Note:
• At low voltage range, the meter will show an unstable value only when the test leads are not connected to the
circuit. This is normal since the meter is very sensible. The meter will show a steady value as soon as the leads
are connected to the circuit.
