5.2 Couple the control unit to the wireless receiver
The strength of radio signals decreases as the distance to the transmitter increases.
The overall range is limited. Various factors have an attenuating affect on radio waves
e. g. wall thickness and material, room geometry and volume, type and attachment of
the receiver. Large metal objects such as wall-high bathroom radiators or metal furniture
have additional negative impact on the wireless connection.

There are two different wireless receivers
Radio receiver
- audible alarm unit

- Radio receiver as

For a wireless receiver to be able to receive and implement the alarm signal in the event of
backwater, it must be coupled with the control unit.
Audible alarm unit
Make sure that the audible alarm unit is not
coupled to another control unit. On account of
its design for safety-critical applications, the
coupled audible alarm unit does not accept any
additional couplings with a new control unit.
To cancel existing couplings on the audible
alarm unit, please contact KESSEL Customer
Services.
• Insert the audible alarm unit into the socket, it is ready
for coupling for 2 minutes
• Press the teach key <2> on the control unit for 5
seconds. When coupling is successful, an acoustic signal is sounded and the LED <1>
flashes green 3 times

Initial operation / configuration
Function, behaviour in the event of an alarm
In the case of backwater phase, battery fault and moisture in
the control unit, an acoustic signal is sounded and the warning
light flashes. At the same time, the socket switches ON / OFF
continually as long as the alarm is pending. Any light source
connected would flash.
In the event of backwater it switches connected consumers (e. g.
washing machine) off
